4/06/15 2015 T2: Speed Write Information report (Stars)

The Life of Mysterious Stars

[Introduction]
There are stars that we & people see in the night sky. But the question is why are they up there and what do they actually look like when we go up to space?.

Appearance:
The Appearance of a star is quite simple. Some stars are a simple colour and some are not. Stars get their colour by depending how hot they are, The big red star is formed after all of the other phases of stars. There is also a variety of colours that stars can be coloured by and they are purple, blue & silver.
Type of stars:
There are lots and lots of different stars like the big red star, the dwarfs stars and many more. But I am going to tell you why they are all different. Small stars turn into a stellar nebula, when they are still growing they turn into a giant star, for an example the super giant star or the blue giant. There is also stars that don’t even look like stars like the black hole, it is a circle that looks like a portal surrounded by billions of rocks.

General Information
There are lots of more information about stars like the light from stars takes millions of years to reach Earth. or like stars can live up to billions of years!!!.There is also stars that are huge distances away from Earth but we can still see some of the stars that are distances away from us (Earth). Our galaxy has over 200 billion stars!!! (isn’t that so interesting!!!!!!), and I did not know that till I reading about star facts.

Life Cycle
Stars are born in a cloud of hydrogen gas and dust called nebulae. There is  also another way of saying how stars are born: Stars are born in the hearts of dark clouds in the dark, lonely space. When a giant star begins to die, its core or center shrinks. Here is also a thing that is related to the life cycle the sun is a star like the giant red star!.

  1. Kia ora Nisha,
Well done on completing your speedwrite within the 40 minutes. You have included some great details and facts about stars.

    Your next learning steps are:
    1) Most of your information report was well written but you still need to proofread to further improve your work and make sure that your paragraphs make sense. I suggest you read your writing aloud and see which parts don't really make sense.
    2) Make sure that you use formal language (no it's or that's or they're - write the whole word down "it is" or "they are"
