Floodland: Should Zoe trust the Eels?

Kia Ora fellow people!. And today's blog post is going to be based on our writing. So first the thing I just want to say is the blog post is about should Zoe trust the Eels?. So here is the choice I have agreed with:

Choice: NO

I respectfully disagree that Zoe should trust them because first of all Dooby seems like a bossy person to be with. And second of all it sounds like Dooby is going to use her smartness then trick her by telling her to do something (Plan out something), then they will secretly sneak and row away with her boat she has fixed/upgraded. So all together I disagree with trusting them.

The Viewer..... Should Tristan.......

We have still been focusing on the book called The Viewer and now we are up to should Tristan go back and see the pictures on the machine or should he not?
Also we used a drama technique called Conscience Alley.

Poem: The Dump - Created by Nisha (Me) & Toma

We have been reading this book called The Viewer and it is a interesting book to read. And on one of the pages it had a image of a boy called Tristan wondering in the dump. So we had to write some ideas on a piece of paper about what you can see in the image or what do you feel about Tristan. And here is the poem that me (Nisha) & Toma made:

Nisha's Week 4 Term 3 Reflection 2015 (Blog post)

Week 4 Term 3 Reflection 2015

Backward-Looking:
What have been your learning highlights so far this term?
I have lots of highlights for this term but the most highlight I loved for this term was CAMP! because you could try these new activities that you haven’t did before. And you could also eat dinner for free! like instead of buying food which some people mostly do, you just get dinner from these brilliant cookers for free!.

Inward-Looking:
What were your Learner Profile goals for Term 3? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?
My goal for this term was to be balanced with my learning but I think I still haven’t completed this Learner Profile Goal so I am going to stick with this Goal.

Outward-Looking:
If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far this term?
I think I would say to Nisha (Myself) “Wow Nisha!, You are making a great improvement from last term. So keep up the great work!”

Forward-Looking:
As you look back at your learning so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon over the next few weeks?
I think I would have to improve how much learning I am going through, because I am not completing most of the tasks.

My Comment on Ashlyn's Remember Poem

Last week we went to CAMP! so to show others online what we did on Camp we made a Remember Poem. And after me posting a blog post of my Remember Poem I commented on Ashlyn's Remember Poem:

Writing- Remember Poem: That was Camp!

Picmonkey Collage:

That Was Camp:

Remember when Hunter (A person in my group) would always ask me to be her partner for everything?
Remember when Ashlyn & Toma would always say “Good Luck!” whenever I would go to my activity?

That was CAMP!

Remember when the instructors were giving our group kind-hearted compliments?
Remember when me & Hunter were battling about who goes on whose knee to climb on the next ladder?

That was CAMP!

Remember when my group were cheering proudly for me & Hunter for Giants Ladder
Do you remember when we had a SINGING COMPETITION on the bus because we all felt bored & tired of just sitting?

That was CAMP!

My Term 2 Reflection 2015

Backward-Looking:
What have been your learning highlights this term?
My Highlights for this term was learning about:
Space;
How to Write an Information Report;
Going on the Wall of Champions;
And that is the learning highlights that I could think of from my head.

Inward-Looking:
What were your Learner Profile goals for Term 2? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?
Well, my Learner Profile goal that I usually use is being BALANCED because when I choose this goal I usually get lots of tasks done and this is a big improvement for me. But sometimes this goal mucks me up but it's still okay.

Outward-Looking:
If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far?
If I was the teacher I would be giving me good & sort of bad comments to myself and here is some of them:
“Well Done! Nisha you have done a great progress in Maths”
“Nisha are you sure you should be sitting next to this person?”
“Nisha you have done lots of tasks and that’s good”
And that is the comments I would give to me if I was a teacher.

Forward-Looking:
As you look back at your learning so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon?
After from going past time in term 2 I think I got lots of tasks done but maybe some I haven’t actually completed. So my goal I would improve is stop talking to others and finish what I need because I am having a little bit trouble with who I am sitting next to.

5/06/25 2015 T2: Second Information Report (Stars)

Title: The Life of Mysterious Stars

[Introduction]
There are bright shiny things we see up in the night sky but have you wondered about what they are actually called and what they are?. Well if you want to know about these mysterious things read along to know about them.

Appearance:
The Appearance of a star is quite simple. Some stars are a simple colour and some are not. Stars get their colour by depending how hot they are. The big red star is formed after all of the other phases of stars. There is also a variety of colours that stars can be coloured by and they are purple, blue & silver.
Type of stars:
There are lots and lots of different stars like the big red star, the dwarfs stars and many more. But I am going to tell you why they are all different. Small stars turn into a stellar nebula, when they are growing they turn into a dwarf star, then a giant star, for an example the super giant star or the blue giant. There is also stars that do not even look like stars like the black hole, it is a circle that looks like a portal, surrounded by billions of rocks.

General Information
There are lots of more information about these mysterious things (stars), like the light from stars takes millions of years to reach Earth, or maybe stars can live up to billions of years!!!.There is also stars that are huge distances away from Earth but we can still see some of them. Our galaxy has over 200 billion stars!!! (isn’t that so interesting!!!!!!), and I did not know that till I was reading about star facts.

Life Cycle
Stars are born in a cloud of hydrogen gas and dust called nebulae. There is  also another way of saying how stars are born is Stars are born in the hearts of dark clouds in the dark, lonely space. Here is another thing that might interest you. When a giant star begins to die, its core or center shrinks.

[Conclusion]
I hope this information report made you understand lots about stars. Also if you would love to learn more about stars here is a link below:
